It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I extend a warm welcome to all our students, faculty, staff, and esteemed guests for the academic year 2023/2024 at Ammon Applied University College (AAUC), the pioneer specialized university college in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, and Events Business Management education and training, in Jordan and the MENA region.

As we embark on this new academic journey, I want to take a moment to reflect on the achievements and growth of our institution. Since 1980, AAUC has a rich history of academic excellence and a commitment to fostering innovation, diversity, and a sense of community among our students and faculty. At AAUC, we offer both theoretical and practical courses for our students, with a commitment to high quality. Our educational philosophy rests on three dimensions: practical-oriented, English language-oriented, and attitude and discipline-oriented. Therefore, the university enjoys a high profile amongst educational institutions in Jordan and the Middle East region.

Our faculty members continue to push the boundaries of knowledge through their research, dedication, and commitment to high quality, our students are the beneficiaries of this dedication to academic excellence. In spite of the difficulties posed by the constantly changing global environment, AAUC is unwavering in its dedication to offering a world-class hospitality education that gives our students the abilities, understanding, skills, knowledge, resilience, and fortitude necessary to prosper in such a setting.

In 2020, AAUC was the first academic institution to be listed on the Jordan National Qualification Framework, JNQF. AAUC has obtained the UNWTO TedQual Certification twice, in addition to the Tourism Excellence Award and Al Hassan Bin Talal Award for Scientific Excellence. AAUC now is a member of EURHODIP, ICHRIE, and the American Hospitality Academy (AHA).

AAUC community is built on the principles of mutual respect, inclusivity, and a shared passion for learning. It enjoys the collaboration of its stakeholders, who are leaders in the Hospitality and Tourism industries in Jordan; their support is vital to our success and excellence in this field. The stakeholders’ support of AAUC, complemented by our international partnerships, recognition by the local and regional industries, and ability to change, ensure that we retain our reputation for excellence. We aim to be a model of education and learning in Tourism and Hospitality to be imitated by other institutions in Jordan and abroad.

I encourage each and every one of you to fully engage in the academic and extracurricular opportunities that AAUC offers. Take advantage of the resources, mentorship, and support available to you, and remember that your journey here is not just about acquiring knowledge, but also about personal growth and development.
