Since English has become the universal language of the business world, including the Hospitality and Tourism Industries, English has become the foundation for all courses at AAUC. All students must sit for the placement test at the time appointed by the Admissions and Registration Department.

The standards set for the English language levels are calculated as follows:

• Any student who obtains a mark between 0 – 59 will be placed in the English Course 099.(Intensive English)
• Any student who obtains a mark between 60 – 69 will be placed in the English Course 100.(Remedial English)
• Any student who obtains a mark of 70 or above will be placed in the English Course 101. (English language for Hospitality).
